If you otherwise meet the registration requirements and are 16 or 17 years old, you can pre-register to vote, and will be registered to vote when you turn 18. To pre-register to vote, you can use the California Online Registration Portal or fill out and return a paper affidavit available at elections offices, post offices, the Department of Motor Vehicles, and other public service agencies.
