El Dorado Supervisors on September 10, 2021, addressing temporary emergency housing, resiliency, and rebuilding after the 2021 Caldor Fire.

Updated Department of Transportation fees go into effect on June 19, 2021

On March 20, 2021, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution 036-2021, implementing a revision to the County's transportation fees.  The updated fees will go into effect on June 19, 2021.

  Writ of Mandate from the Superior Court of the State of California

Partial Stay of the Enforcement of the Judgment and Writ:  The partial stay of the enforcement of the Judgment and Writ allows the County to process and approve construction permits which would not result in (a) removal of oak trees or (b) removal or impact to oak woodlands within the area of the mapped Important Biological Corridors (IBC) as depicted on the map attached as Exhibit A to the Writ.

Executed Writ of MandateThe executed Writ of Mandate suspends approval of construction and Oak Woodland removal permits in the Highway 50 corridor, defined as the mapped Important Biological Corridors (IBC) running north to south of Highway 50.

The Planning and Building Department is committed to providing you with the best customer service.  Our lobby is currently open to the public. We're experiencing a substantial increase in permit applications, and as a result, the turnaround times for plan checks and permit reviews are taking longer than usual. Please know we are diligently working to get your plan check and/or permit review completed as quickly as possible so your permit can be issued.
