Mental Health Services Act (MHSA)
Proposition 63 (known as the
Mental Health Services Act or MHSA) was passed by California voters in November 2004. The law provided the first opportunity in many years for the
State of California to increase funding, personnel and other resources to support county mental health programs and monitor progress toward statewide goals for children, transition age youth, adults, older adults and families. The El Dorado County MHSA Project Team frequently posts information, program planning documents, and meeting announcements on our website. Community Meetings & Surveys:
This year’s Community Program Planning Process (CPPP) meetings & survey have been completed. Thank you to everyone who took the time to provide feedback.
Public Hearing:
The El Dorado County Behavioral Health Commission will conduct a public hearing to review the Draft Fiscal Years 2023-2026 MHSA Three-Year Program and Expenditure Plan. That hearing is tentatively scheduled for April 19, 2023.
MHSA Plan Final Approval:
Final approval of the plan by the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors is tentatively scheduled for June, 2023.
