Welcome to El Dorado County Veteran Services

The El Dorado County Department of Veteran Services was established by the Board of Supervisors of El Dorado County to assist veterans, their dependents, and survivors in obtaining entitlements from federal, state, and local agencies administering veterans programs. It is not affiliated with the Federal Department of Veteran Affairs (VA).

Public Meeting: Criteria for Military Honoraria

When: June 12, 2024 10:00-11:30 AM

Where: Veterans Memorial Building East Room, 130 Placerville Drive, Placerville, CA 95667

Purpose: Stakeholder Discussion Regarding Criteria for Military Honoraria - Bronze Plaques at the El Dorado County Veterans Monument

Goal:

  • The goal of the meeting will be to construct a new pathway to hear appeals should the need occur
  • Information collected at the meeting will be brought back to the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors for their consideration

How to provide Input:

  • Community Members/Stakeholders are asked to submit their feedback and proposed changes to the current El Dorado County Veterans Monument Criteria for Military Honoraria by May 27, 2024, 11:59 PM via email to EDCVeteransMonument@edcgov.us
  • All submissions will be reviewed before the public meeting on June 12th, 2024
