The deadline to register to voter and be eligible to cast a ballot in the June 3rd Statewide Direct Primary Election is May 19th at midnight and postmarks are accepted.
The easiest way to register is using the state’s online voter registration system at www.RegisterToVote.ca.gov the system applies the voter’s signature from the DMV database and delivers the information electronically to the county.
Traditional registration cards are available throughout the county at post offices and libraries. Registration cards must post marked on or before May 19th.
Voters may also register from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Elections Department at 2850 Fairlane Court in Placerville.
