INMATE MESSAGING
NCIC Inmate Communications offers Electronic Messaging through VendEngine, which allows Friends and Family members to communicate with incarcerated loved ones at the Placerville Jail and South Lake Tahoe Jail.
To send a free Electronic Message to your incarcerated loved one, simply visit the VendEngine website at http://www.jailfunds.com or download the JailFunds by VendEngine App on a mobile device from the Apple App store or Google Play store.
Messaging Terms and Conditions:
Inmate Messaging: messages can be sent as a text or email
- Inmate Messages costs $.50 for the inmate to send. The public can send an incoming message to the inmate; of which the inmate can send one response message for free.
- Every inmate can send one outgoing message for free each week.
- Each message is automatically sent or received, unless it is flagged by our "safety/security" key word flagging feature.
- All incoming/outgoing flagged messages are held in a "pending approval" state until reviewed by staff (Classification) and either approved or denied based upon content.
