The El Dorado County Health and Human Services Agency
(HHSA), Office of the Public Guardian is currently looking for a community
volunteer to assist with general office duties. The volunteer will help with
tasks such as organizing paperwork, filing, and photocopying documents. Program
staff are hoping to find a volunteer who can help 15-20 hours per week during
normal business hours in their Placerville office.
The Office of the Public Guardian provides essential
services to the community, ensuring the physical and financial safety of
vulnerable older adults and disabled residents. The program serves residents
Countywide. “We provide an important safety net in the community for people who
are not able to help themselves,” said Alexis Zoss, Chief Assistant Director of
HHSA and the Public Guardian Conservator. “We are looking for a special
volunteer who has a place in their hearts for serving people and who likes office
work.”
Individuals interested in volunteering for the Office of

621-6393. Volunteers will be required to pass a background check. Volunteers
who are over the age of 55, low-income and meet eligibility criteria may
possibly qualify for paid compensation as a volunteer through the AARP
Foundation’s Senior Community Service Employment Program.
