The Behavioral Health Division of the El
Dorado County Health and Human Services Agency invites the public to provide input
on the County’s Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Three-Year Plan for Fiscal
Years 2017/18 through 2019/20. Community members can provide input by email, online
survey or at an upcoming community meeting. Community meetings to receive input
for the MHSA plan are scheduled as follows:
California voters passed MHSA (Proposition 63)
in November 2004; the law was enacted January 1, 2005. MHSA places a 1% tax on
personal incomes over $1,000,000. Counties receive funds through the State with
the goal of transforming the public mental health system into one that is consumer
and family driven, recovery oriented, accessible, and culturally competent.
