El Dorado County’s California Work Opportunity and
Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) Employment Services is hosting a free Job
Forum on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at the Carlton Building
located at 3883 Ponderosa Road in Shingle Springs. During the event, representatives
from El Dorado County Office of Education and Choices for Children will provide information about supports,
resources, monetary incentives and scholarships that are available to child
care providers. Also discussed will be steps necessary to open an in-home
daycare facility, how to get a Family Child Care Home License, and
qualifications necessary to work in a daycare facility.
The forum is designed
to address a critical need in the county – a lack of child care providers. Qualified
child care providers play a vital role in providing safe and nurturing settings
while allowing parents to maintain employment.
Job Forums are open to
members of the public and offered as a community service through CalWORKs Employment Services. CalWORKs Employment Services is a program of the El
Dorado County Health and Human Services Agency. For more information, call
(530) 642-7107 or (530) 642-7326.
