The goal of this program is to ensure that all public pools are free of safety hazards and any risk of communicable diseases.
Activities of this program include:
- Plan review to determine compliance of public swimming pools/spas with Code requirements;
- Construction inspections;
- Unannounced inspections of swimming pools throughout the year;
- Investigations of complaints from the public regarding unsafe or unsanitary public swimming pools.
Environmental Health Division does not inspect private pools or spas maintained by individuals for the use of family and friends.
