   EMD COVID-19 Operational Information


***Update as of June 15, 2021***

  • All county tier classifications have ended and all industry guidance has been lifted (except with certain conditions).  

  • Restaurants are no longer limited to a seating capacity and can resume regular operations.  

  • Community events are now approved.  EMD can start approving and allow Temporary Food Facilities (TFF) to resume operations. Large-scale indoor events will have a vaccination or negative test requirements for attendees through at least October 1. 

  • Face coverings - the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has issued new guidance for face coverings

 El Dorado County is in the MODERATE (Orange) tier under the California blueprint for a safer economy as of April 7, 2021.

Below is a summary of what is allowed in each tier:

 
Regional Stay at Home Order Current Status: Purple – Tier 1 Widespread

Hazardous Materials/CUPA/UST

Small Public Drinking Water Systems

Staff will analyze water sample test result data for the presence of acute contamination and respond to water infrastructure complaints. Staff will continue to inspect water systems to ensure water quality and safe infrastructure.

Drinking Water Wells
Staff will respond to water well complaints, and inspect sanitary seal placement for new wells and destruction of old wells.

Septic Systems
Staff will respond to onsite wastewater treatment infrastructure and surfacing sewage complaints, septic system inspections and test trenches.
