The CIP is the long-range plan for all individual capital improvement projects, including cost estimates, schedules and funding sources. It provides strategic direction for capital projects over a current year, 5-, 10- and 20-Year horizon. The CIP is used as a planning tool, and is updated annually as new information becomes available regarding Board priorities, funding sources, project cost estimates and timing.On June 24, 2014, the Board adopted the 2014 CIP, which included a Current Year work plan, a 5-Year CIP, a 10-Year CIP, and a 20-Year CIP. On September 16, 2014, the Board approved updates to the 2014 CIP (Legistar item #14-0141, Version 6). Since September 16, 2014, the majority of projects remain within budget and on schedule. However, a number of CIP revisions are necessary to reflect more accurate forecasts for project cost and/or schedule for Fiscal Year (FY) 2014/15.Projects in the FY 2014/15 CIP Project Status Update Table have had changes in their FY 2014/15 cost or schedule since the September 16, 2014 CIP update. The changes made to the budgets and schedules for these projects will be reflected in the 2015 CIP Book. On February 24, 2015, the Board approved a Mid-Year update to projects in the 2014 CIP that will require budget or schedule updates for FY 14/15. The update included the following CIP changes:Project Reinstated to 2014 CIP:CIP #53113 - U.S. 50 HOV Lanes (Phase 2A) - Bass Lake Grade to Cameron Park Drive: Construction of this project was completed in FY 13/14, but some minor administrative close-out work continued into FY 14/15. There was no increase to the overall project cost.Project Added to 2014 CIP:CIP # 72119 - Overlay – Gold Hill: This project will replace failed roadway structural sections in various locations along Gold Hill Road between Cold Springs Road and State Route 49. Construction of the two-inch asphalt concrete overlay will improve drainage on the adjacent roadway.On August 5, 2014, the Board approved this project as part of the Maintenance Program Funding Augmentation from Local Funds-Tribe. The estimated cost of the project is $750,000.Revisions to Road Maintenance Section of the 2014 CIP Book:On June 10, 2014, the Board conceptually approved the use of tribal funds for road repair and maintenance in the amount of $2,500,000, appropriated for each of the next three (3) fiscal years, ending in FY 2016/17.On August 5, 2014, the Board approved TD staff’s recommendation for a FY 2014/15 Maintenance Work Plan. These recommendations are included in an updated Road Maintenance Program section of the 2014 CIP Book.
