Capital Improvement Program
The Capital Improvement Program (CIP) is a 20-Year plan that is updated each year to identify and plan for necessary improvements that ensure the safety and reliability of the County’s transportation infrastructure.
The CIP process includes identifying, prioritizing and developing funding for projects programmed in the CIP. All projects included in the CIP are reviewed and updated annually, including project scope, cost estimates, anticipated schedules, and revenue projections. Major updates to the CIP are undertaken every five years, in coordination with the five-year major review of the General Plan. The County has completed major five-year updates to both the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for roadway projects in the Western Slope area of the County and the Traffic Impact Mitigation (TIM) Fee Program.
The 2020 CIP Book was adopted by the Board on June 09, 2020. The 2020 CIP document (and prior years) are posted on the County website at:
