In order to create a more efficient work environment for staff and to provide the best customer service, effective June 23, 2020, the inspection request line, 530/621-5377 will be an “answer only” extension. All inspection operations (scheduling, checking status, canceling, etc) will be conducted through the E-TRAKiT online system. This tool is continuously available all day, with no need for personal assistance. ALL customers will need an E-TRAKIT account.
At this time we are conducting inspections located outside of homes and deemed safe for inspection. These inspections include pools, solar panels, re-roofs, generators, decks, exterior electrical and plumbing work, and new house construction including foundations, pre-slabs, shear/sheathing, frame, insulation, sheetrock, and building finals. HVAC package units and water heaters that are located outside or in the garage may be scheduled. However, they are subject to cancellation if an inspector does not feel safe inspecting the unit or the location of the unit is not in a safe location.
PLEASE NOTE: Inspection requests must be received by 4:00 p.m. the workday before the requested inspection date. A request received on a weekend will be treated the same as a Monday submittal. If our daily quota has been reached prior to receipt of your email, your request will be scheduled for the next available day.
