Seeking Applications For Traffic impact Mitigation Fee Offset Program For Affordable Housing Units

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that El Dorado County is seeking applications from qualified residential builders who are constructing subdivisions of five (5) or more units that will include affordable housing. Affordable units must be deed restricted to serve very-low, low- or moderate-income households in the unincorporated areas of El Dorado County to be eligible under specific guidelines of the Traffic Impact Mitigation (TIM) Fee Offset Program. The TIM Fee Program was approved by the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors in 2007 and includes a provision to set aside $1 million of federal and state transportation revenues annually for a period of 20 years to be used to offset TIM fees in the development of affordable housing. The TIM Fee Offset Program allows for a reduction of TIM fees and is not a cash subsidy. The County no longer requires TIM Fees for homeowners building a secondary dwelling.

TIM Fee Offset Program applications will be accepted January 2-16, 2018 (adjusted for holiday).
