For Voters with disabilities, El Dorado uses a Remote Accessible Vote By Mail (RAVBM) system to allow voters with a disability to vote a vote by mail ballot using their computer and accessibility tools at their disposal. To apply for a RAVBM ballot, please fill out the RAVBM Application and fax/email/mail it to our office. In addition to voting remotely, every voting location has a ADA compliant voting device on which you can cast your vote.
All vote centers will have three accessible ballot marking devices.
Voters can look forward to videos of all measures in ASL (American Sign Language). Facsimile ballots in Spanish and Chinese can be provided in required precincts. All voters will be mailed Voter Info Guides. The ICX Ballot Marking Device comes with accessibility features such as Audio Tactile Interface (ATI) keypad with braille as well as audio instructions.
Voters who are physically unable to access the inside of the vote center will be able to vote "curbside". Voters can call the elections office ahead of time or have a friend or family member enter the vote center with the voter's information to have a trained vote center worker bring their ballot to them. To schedule curbside voting call (530) 621-7480 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
