District Attorney Vern Pierson announces the arrest and extradition
of Dion Jermaine Randolph Vaccaro, the featured Most Wanted Wednesday fugitive
on February 24, 2016, wanted for murder and robbery.
Dion Vaccaro is 26 years old, a former resident of Vallejo,
California, and was a fugitive in the murder of Dennis Wright which occurred on
January 30, 2016, at the Beverly Lodge Motel in South Lake Tahoe. He is one of six defendants now in custody
relating to this homicide.
Charges of murder and robbery were filed against Vacarro on April
28, 2016. As part of this ongoing
investigation, his location was identified and he was arrested on May 20, 2016,
by the Oklahoma City Police Department. He
waived extradition; El Dorado County officials are transporting him from
Oklahoma City to El Dorado County where he is scheduled to be arraigned.
