All five cannabis Measures have unofficially been approved by El Dorado County voters. These measures do not take effect immediately and applications are not yet available. The County has a minimum of six months from the certification of election results to develop the programs that provide the discretionary permitting process and other administrative procedures. This timeline may be extended to account for things such as unforeseen circumstances, changes in state or federal law, or lack of sufficient funding.
While the cannabis programs are being developed, individuals interested in commercial cannabis are encouraged to acquaint themselves with the ordinances as they include minimum submission requirements for an application and other important information.
