(Placerville, CA) – Construction work on Salmon Falls Road in between Salmon Falls Court and Miners Valley Road is ahead of schedule and it is anticipated that the temporary traffic signals will be installed at either end of the project to provide reversing one-way traffic control through the work area on Monday, June 6, 2016. The temporary signals will operate 24 hours per day/7 days a week for approximately two (2) months. During this time, work will take place from approximately 6:00 am through 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Portable changeable message signs will be placed at the approaches to each end of the work zone to keep motorists updated on the schedule.
The Transportation Division of El Dorado County’s Community Development Agency will be performing road work on Salmon Falls Road from May 31, 2016 through September 2016.
The work will require traffic control measures which are necessary to ensure motorist and worker safety while the County’s contractor performs work on the roadway. The improvements involve realignment of an existing curve and include roadway excavation, pavement, curb, guardrail, fencing, roadway signs, and striping.
Motorists are advised to slow down through the work zone and expect delays. Motorists are also advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work zone in order to arrive at their destinations on time.
