Placerville, CA. – El Dorado County Supervisor Michael Ranalli invites the residents of the Coloma-Lotus
Valley to join him and representatives from the State of California Department of Transportation
(Caltrans) at a community meeting at the Gold Trail Grange on:
Thursday, February 23, 2017
5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Gold Trail Grange #452
319 Highway 49
Coloma, CA 95613
The Coloma-Lotus Chamber of Commerce has proposed to include a “Community
Identification/Welcome” sign as part of the improvements included with the Highway 49 South Fork
American River Bridge Project. Supervisor Ranalli and the Chamber seek input from the residents of
the Coloma-Lotus Valley on the proposed community welcome sign. Feedback from the community
will help determine how the County, in partnership with the Chamber, proceeds with the proposal.
Additionally, in preparation for the start of construction on the Highway 49 South Fork American River
Bridge Project this spring, representatives from Caltrans will be in attendance to answer questions
related to the project. This meeting is an opportunity for residents, business owners, whitewater
outfitters and commuters to ask questions pertaining to impacts to motor vehicle and pedestrian
access as well as use of the river during construction prior to the start of construction.
