Revised Schedule for Road Work on Bass Lake Road Overlay

The Transportation Division of El Dorado County's Community Development Agency will be performing road work on Bass Lake Road between Old Sienna Ridge Road and Parkdale Lane in El Dorado Hills, beginning on October 15, 2015 and continuing through November 20, 2015. The work was originally scheduled to start on October 8 th , but due to logistical reasons it has been delayed until October 15th . The construction work will require lane closures with one-way reversing traffic control for which motorists should expect delays.
The closures are necessary to ensure motorist and worker safety while the County's contractor performs work on the roadway. The improvements include approximately two miles of hot mix asphalt pavement, shoulder backing, permanent roadway striping, pavement markers, and guardrail adjustment.
Motorists are advised to slow down through the work zone and expect delays during reversing traffic control. Motorists are also advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work zone in order to arrive at their destinations on time. Traffic control is expected to be in effect from approximately 9:00 am through 3:00 pm on Monday through Friday, and 7:00 am through 7:00 pm on Saturday, October 17th, 24th and 31st. Portable changeable message signs will be placed at each end of the work zone to keep motorists updated on the schedule for closures.
