(Placerville, Calif.)—The El Dorado County Board of Supervisors announced their selection of Terri Daly as the new Chief Administrative Officer.

“We are fortunate that Terri already has a proven track record of success as a county executive,” said Board of Supervisors Chair Norma Santiago. “Terri’s experience and get-it-done approach will serve the county well.”

Daly has been El Dorado County’s Assistant Chief Administrative Officer since July 2010. Prior to her work in El Dorado County, Daly was the County Administrative Officer in Amador County. Daly holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Stanford University, and an MBA from San Francisco State University.

“I appreciate both the opportunity and responsibility the Board has given me as CAO,” said Daly. “I am prepared to help the Board confront the challenges ahead, and eager to help plan and build a bright future for El Dorado County.”

Under general policy direction of the Board of Supervisors the Chief Administrative Officer plans, organizes, coordinates and administers all County functions and activities, provides policy guidance and coordinates the activities of department heads. The Chief Administrative Officer has primary responsibility for the preparation and administration of the annual county budget.

Daly’s appointment as CAO will begin on December 14 following formal approval of her contract. She will be appointed at Step 3 of the salary schedule.
