El Dorado County is now streaming meetings online. As of February 14, 2012 the residents of El Dorado County can now watch the Board of Supervisors meetings live or at any time they want to by visiting the County website, http://eldorado.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx, and clicking on the BOS Meeting Videos tab towards the right side of the page.
The new system is powered by San Francisco-based Granicus, Inc., provider of local government streaming media and public meeting management solutions to over 300 government agencies spanning 30 states across the nation.
With Granicus, El Dorado County will now offer live web streaming of the Board of Supervisors meetings as well as on demand access of the published videos. The new service expands the public’s access to the Board of Supervisors meetings beyond the pre-scheduled TV broadcasts and cable boundary lines. All future meetings can be viewed as they take place beginning at 9:00 AM on Tuesdays. The recorded videos of each meeting will be uploaded and available to the public the following morning.
This service gives residents who have internet connections but who do not have access to Comcast Channel 15 the opportunity to view the meetings. The meetings will continue to air on Comcast Chanel 15 on Wednesdays at 1:00 PM and Tuesdays at 7:00 AM.
The El Dorado County Board of Supervisors meets on Tuesday’s at 8 AM at the El Dorado County Government Center, 330 Fair Lane, Placerville.
