Placerville, CA – The El Dorado County Board of Supervisors appointed Patricia Charles-Heathers as the
director of the Health and Human Services Agency effective August 17, 2016 at its scheduled board meeting
on August 16, 2016.
Patricia has worked for the El Dorado County Health and Human Services Agency for over four years during
which time she served as the assistant director of health services.
Prior to working for El Dorado County, Patricia worked in international banking, had extensive experience
working and managing a variety of clinical non-profit providers, with over 25 years of behavioral health
experience, 15 years working in executive management and 17 years as an adjunct professor at California
State University, Sacramento.
Patricia holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, master’s degree in substance abuse counseling, a doctoral
degree in clinical and organizational psychology and is close to completing her master’s degree in public
administration.
