(PLACERVILLE, CA) – El Dorado County will host three public meetings to provide information and facilitate discussion about the different types of vegetation management options in its efforts to reduce fire danger in El Dorado County communities.
"Fire season is now a year-round reality," said Supervisor Brian Veerkamp who, along with fire agency representatives, will hold the meetings. "The King Fire in our own county, the Camp Fire in Butte County and the numerous other devastating wildfires throughout California put a fine point on the fact that we have to do more to safeguard property, structures and people's lives.
The meetings are scheduled as follows:
Thursday, January 31st- 6pm - BOS Chambers - 330 Fair Lane Placerville
Tuesday, February 5th - 6pm - Pleasant Valley School Gym - 4120 Pleasant Valley Rd Placerville
Thursday, February 7th- 6pm - Golden Sierra High School Gym - 5101 Garden Valley Rd Garden Valley
