(PLACERVILLE, CA) – Members of the Somerset and surrounding area communities are invited to the free South County Health and Safety Fair to learn about saving lives and staying healthy. On Saturday, April 28, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Pioneer Elementary School, 6860 Mt. Aukum Rd., Somerset. Healthcare and emergency response agencies are partnering and will host booths with giveaways and games for kids of all ages. Attendees will enjoy helicopter demonstrations, health screenings, CPR training and a free pancake breakfast from 9 – 11 a.m.
This event is organized by Pioneer Union School District, El Dorado County District II Supervisor Shiva Frentzen, Pioneer Volunteer Firefighters Association, El Dorado County Fire Safe Councils and El Dorado Community Health Centers. The event is generously sponsored by Farmers Insurance.
