(PLACERVILLE, CA) – Pioneer Community Energy (Pioneer) will hold a community meeting for El
Dorado County to present information about Pioneer and to answer questions, Nov.2, from 6 to 7:30 pm.
The meeting will be held both in person and via Zoom. The in-person meeting will be at El Dorado County
Government Center, 330 Fair Lane, in Placerville, in the Board of Supervisors Chambers. Options for
participating in the meeting remotely are below.
Pioneer is a community-owned, not-for-profit agency serving unincorporated Placer and El Dorado Counties,
and the incorporated areas of Auburn, Colfax, Lincoln, Loomis, Placerville, and Rocklin. Pioneer currently
serves more than 93,300 residential and commercial accounts and will begin serving the 68,000 accounts in
unincorporated El Dorado County and Placerville in January 2022. Pioneer was formed to provide electric
generation at stable rates, while offering programs that deliver economic and workforce benefits for the local
community.
