(PLACERVILLE, CA) – El Dorado County Department of Transportation will seek the Board of Supervisors’ approval of the Transition Plan for County Maintained Roadways (Transition Plan) within the West Slope and Tahoe Basin of unincorporated El Dorado County at its August 29th meeting. The purpose of the Transition Plan is to comply with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act by outlining ongoing efforts to ensure that the County creates accessible paths of travel in the public right of way.

A Preliminary ADA Transition Plan was circulated for public comment in the fall of 2016 and this Transition Plan incorporates recommendations received at that time.

The Department of Transportation is providing this advanced notification for those who may need special accommodations to attend the meeting. The Plan may be reviewed at the Department of Transportation offices at 2850 Fairlane Court, Placerville and is available on the County’s ADA website at the following location: https://www.edcgov.us/Government/Pages/americans_with_disabilities_act.aspx

Any questions regarding the Transition Plan should be directed to: Rob Peters, El Dorado County Community Development Services, Department of Transportation, 2850 Fairlane Court, Placerville, CA 95667. Questions may also be submitted electronically via email to adacoordinator@edcgov.us.
