(PLACERVILLE, CA) – El Dorado County announced the appointment of Brian Frazier as Surveyor to fill the vacancy left by the passing of Phil Mosbacher.

Mr. Frazier has held the position of Deputy Surveyor since April 2020. For the previous 33 years, Mr. Frazier worked in the private sector, most recently as a vice president with CTA Engineering & Surveying.

"I'm looking forward to working with the Board of Supervisors and am grateful for the trust they put in me to continue the good and important work Phil started when he was elected in 2018," said Frazier.

Mr. Frazier has been an El Dorado County resident for 22 years where he and his wife raised their three children. He currently resides in the Diamond Springs area.

"The County is fortunate that Brian has agreed to step in to this role and immediately bring forward his experience with the office of the Surveyor," said Board of Supervisors chairman, John Hidahl. "As a result, there will be no leadership gap in the work being done on behalf of the County."

The appointment term is July 3rd, 2021 through January 2, 2023 with a salary totaling $11,372.40 per month.
