EL DORADO COUNTY TO PERFORM ROAD & BRIDGE WORK

IN LOTUS AREA STARTING NEXT WEEK

PLACERVILLE, CA) -- El Dorado County's Department of Transportation will be performing road and bridge work on Bassi Road over Granite Creek in the Lotus area beginning the week of May 13th and continuing until October 2019.  The project is located on Bassi Road approximately 0.25 miles northwest of the intersection of Bassi Road and Lotus Road. The work will require occasional lane closures during which motorists should expect delays.

The closures are necessary to ensure motorist and worker safety while the County's contractor constructs a new bridge over Granite Creek and roadway approaches on either side of the bridge.  Portable changeable message signs will be posted approximately one week in advance of the construction and will remain throughout the duration of the project.

Motorists are advised to slow down through the work zone and expect delays during reversing traffic control.  Motorists are also advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work zone in order to arrive at their destinations on time.

The County sincerely appreciates the cooperation and patience of motorists that use this roadway and we apologize for any inconvenience as a result of these closures.
