LONG-TERM CARE OMBUDSMAN
The Long-Term Care (LTC) Ombudsman advocates for quality of care and quality of life for residents of Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) and Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFE). This local program gives assistance with resources, referral for those needing help
selecting a Long Term Care Facility and guidance on ongoing issues. The LTC Ombudsman Program relies on volunteers trained by the county Ombudsman and certified by the
California State Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program. Regular facility visits are made to receive complaints, resolve problems and ensure the rights of elders living in LTCs. The Ombudsman is a mandated reporter and investigates allegations of elder abuse. Services are confidential and offered without charge.
